So you are saying NYC and 6MM are two pieces of data and the fact that the
latter is the population figure for the former is information. Assuming that
is so, how does that jive with "[Data] is the evidence of a relationship
between two things"? What is the datum here as "the evidence of a
relationship between" NYC and 6MM? Your "explanation" indicates population
relationship as information. Where's the data as "the evidence of a
relationship between two things"?
