right. but by using the very term "date" you're implying a human
presence. not only in the choice of language, but in the concept of
the existence of "dates."
monkies understand dates, but certainly not in the form of January 1,
2001. Penguins too, but again not in the form of January 1, 2001.
I read Tom's comment to suggest that a human consciousness of some
sort was involved in the equation, since the concept of date as
expressed is a human one.
