My point was that this sort of generalisation is dangerous and should
be avoided. Since we can't even agree on what IA's *are*, we shouldn't
make assumptions on what they all *do*. :)

Well, if I tell you that I don't do that, then what? What if Troy
don't? And maybe not Jeff? Why are you saying that IA's as a group
does this when you have absolutely no basis for saying that? It really
baffles me. Even the line between data and information alone is so
blurry that you can't say we do X or Y.
