Language and labeling was the most frustrating part of our last project.  It was exceedingly
difficult to relay to the technical writers that the interface was for undergraduate college
students who are well versed in all things web.  I assume that a linguist would have been able to
make the distinction between a conservative corporate site for the 50+ set and a fun yet
educational interface for the 18+ group.  Having a linguistics degree would have given more weight
to my assertions ...

(I've got a BA in History and an MLIS - Currently, I'm considering a second Masters in HCI through
CMU for career momentum; I'd love to hear from anyone who has has the experience ...)
