BA: Music
MS: Library Science (MLS)

Work history--serving all kinds of special populations from children's
public librarianship (an interesting population with diverse information and
communication challenges), to a brief stint in a private university academic
library, to corporate librarianship for software and hardware engineers.

My knowledge (above data and information in the food chain, huh?) comes from
the application of the information digested in school. *grin* Often
obtaining the degree and making the most of the experience is as important
as the subject of the degree itself.

(I was going to get an English BA instead of majoring in music, but the
requirements would have taken an additional 6 quarters based on the
scheduling of their core classes. Pfffft to that! I was poor at the time,
saved over $10,000 by getting the music degree instead, and I've still been
able to land work as a writer as necessary without the English degree.)
