Short answer: No.

Longer: Only on Windows, there are some proprietary DRM schemes, some
client-side only some with server authentication/authorization, that envelop
docs in a "secure" wrapper.

The most convenient solution is probably PDF. But, remember, there are small
utilities around to bypass PDF's password protection. And it used to be
trivial to take a password protected PDF and open it straight up in Apple's
Preview, a PDF viewer. (I don't know if that's plugged by now.)

Essentially, if you can see/hear a digital file you can copy it. It's all a
risk/effort equation.
