You mean to tell me Encarta's not this already? Or Orbitz? At both of
these locations I can book plane, train and boat travel...car rentals
and accomodations. Whatever I need.

Ok. So Orbitz doesn't actually let me book train travel.

The iTunes Music Store (which I presume iTMS was a reference too)
wouldn't sell me Moby's Hotel on the first day it was released
either, and I still can't buy The Band's Last Waltz.

Just as the iTunes Music Store is not, and never will be, the be all
and end all of electronic music there is not likely to be a single,
universal travel store. Selling Hawaiian vacations to people in
Hawaii doesn't tend to work very well, but selling them to people in
Vancouver does; by the same token, selling Hawaiian vacations to
people in Europe takes an entirely different strategic mindset.

Technology is not the limitation here - the business is.
