I'm very glad the question was asked to see an example of content
modeling, as I'm always frustrated by the amount of theory and "should
haves" I can easily find dealing with this exercise, but I rarely find
actually examples of content that have been modelled using any number of
approaches. I've used spreadsheets in the past, but I would really like
to see the fruit of an actual methodology using spreadsheets or other.

This is just a gripe of mine in general regarding what is available on the
'net. Plenty of, "Your X SHOULD have this and SHOULD have that..." but no
real examples or models of a final product. In other words, I don't want
to be told what an apple should have, I want to see an annotated apple.
