Well, if we approached it like we did a project for one of our
clients, then that would be different. I mean, after all, part of our
job is to look through a variety of audiences and find patterns. Then
based on those patterns, we typically define a "core." And from that
core, we come up with a viable solution that makes 70-90% of the
audience 95% happy.
I think the reason we can't define the damn thing is that we're not
following our own rules. We're trying to make 100% of the people 100%
happy, which we all know never works. So, we should scale it down a
bit and be realistic. We should approach it like we do our own
projects for clients:
* Who's the audience?
* What are their goals?
* What are our business goals?
* What are the patterns in our work?
Cheers!
