Wizards are now so ubiquitous that they can't be avoided. They're here 
to stay, for better or worse. At least for the forseeable future.

But are they really helping the average person?

Break your mother's internet connection and ask her to set it up again. 
See how far she gets. I don't think mine would get very far (dialup on 
Max OS X 10.3)
