Hmmmm. Off topic, and LAST I'LL SAY but the original cost according to
our government was going to be $2 Million (sorry Alan, love ya
man...but you said it.)
Costs are now capped at $25 Million PER YEAR
I meant to type 10x. The annual operating costs are more than 10x the
"original [estimated] full cost".
And yes, technology has been identified as the main area that this
overrun took place in. My brother's got a friend who worked on the
database; I suggested he leave it off his resume :)
