[Sigia-l] Managing terms in mutliple inter-related taxonomy

Here is some of the advice I received off-line:

I received two suggestions on using SchemaLogic (www.schemalogic.com
<http://www.schemalogic.com> ). It appears to be a very powerful tool to
manage taxonomies and more.

I received another suggestion on using Syanptica (www.synaptica.com
<http://www.synaptica.com> ). It also appears to be capable of the task.

I also learned that what I am attempting to manage is often called a
"metathesaurus."

I received some particular advice from Denise Bedford. She states (if I
understood it correctly) that, as a first step, I need to distinguish
concept terms from classes in the work breakdown structure. The WBS element
(class) would be an attribute of the concept. I would integrate the
concepts in a single structure. I would define different levels of synonyms
(total equivalents, quasi-equivalents, etc.) for each concept.

Thanks for all the help.

I need advice on how to use software tools to manage several
inter-related taxonomies.
