Yes, but that's not the same market that Microsoft and Apple serve. There's
a huge difference. It'd be difficult to get away with some of the corporate
crap that I get to see in the mass market.

I'll take your word for it. I haven't seen it myself. :-)

I could start talking about hundred of millions of dollars Intel lost with
its non-core investments in all sorts of half-baked ideas during dotcom
years as well as all those inexplicably gaudy concept PCs/gadgets they
periodically come up with that never see the light of day, but I won't. I
think Intel was and still is a trailing chip maker :-)

I'm always ready to bet against IBM, Oracle, Sun, etc when it comes to
issues of usability. It's just not in their genes.
