This is anecdotal and generalized - but for the video/DVD market here 
is my take:
over 60 years old - rents movies/DVDs and returns on time
25 - 60 years old - used to rent movies, didnt return on time, 
eventually got pissed off at Blockbuster,etc for late fees and either 
started buying, moved to netflicks, or gave up
under 25 - mostly buys
