[Sigia-l] Not All Innovations Are Equal?

It seems to me that there is a fundamental confusion here between
invention and innovation. The two are not the same.

Invention may or may not happen by accident: "Mr. Watson come here I
need you!"

Innovation is always planned. Moreover, innovation always solves a
problem. If it doesn't, the so-called "innovation" will invariably
cause a problem.
