Senior IA London.
Working for a full service new media agency who have particular expertise
with financial and Charity clients. You will be working alongside usability
consultants, the Head of User Experience and digital metric consultants in
the pursuit of excellent intuitive user experiences across their digital
solutions.
The Senior Information Architect will be required to:
Information architecture activities
Lead workshops and interviews with clients to extract their understanding
of problems and identify objectives for their products and sites
Understand users; performing user research and usability testing; creating
personas, mapping tasks and creating flows and interaction models
Analyse and model existing and potential content to create content
templates for content management systems
Develop top-down information architectures, including taxonomies and site
maps
Create information architecture reports, including site maps, wireframes,
flow charts or use cases, functional & presentation specifications, and
style guides
Demonstrate an awareness of usability and accessibility issues
Business activities
Work on new business ideas at pitch level as well as live projects
Lead the user experience streams within projects, working directly with
project managers, interface developers, technical teams and designers to
create new and revise existing web sites
Communicate with project and account managers regarding the status of
specific projects
The successful candidate will have the following education and experience:
Bachelor's degree in HCI, library and information science, interaction
design or related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years experience as information architect
Specifically, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the
following:
In-depth knowledge of and experience of information architecture
Knowledge of and experience in usability and interaction design
Experience working with content management systems
Experience in writing information architecture reports and working with
designers, producers, and software developers
The ability to think creatively; generate innovative ideas, prioritise
complex tasks, and work well under pressure
Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills and proven
ability to communicate complex processes at all levels
Excellent project management skills, showing the ability to prioritise and
plan activities taking all factors such as deadlines and resource
requirements into account
The senior information architect should have:
First class interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate
clearly and confidently at all levels.
The ability to use your own initiative.
A flexible and positive attitude.
Ability to present compelling arguments.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan work effectively
to meet critical deadlines.
Ability to generate new concepts and product ideas.
