Well, for a couple of years, using OmniWeb, I eliminated all ads and most
graphics from all sites I visit with some frequency, site by site. So I
never even saw any of this stuff at all. And I used my own CSS to control
the appearance of sites.

Then I gave up (almost) all end-user control and went native. :-)

Now for the last two months, I began to use Safari as my main browser for
95% of my daily perusing *without* using any filters for inline ads/graphics
or custom CSS for any site. I usually have three full size browser windows
open side by side on a 30" monitor, in full cacophony of ads/graphics.

This personal experiment will go on for another 3 months or so. There's
definitely a difference, but I haven't reached any conclusions yet.
