Join the Dynamic Diagrams team and help create new ways to visualize complex
information!

We have a full-time, permanent position available in our studio for an
experienced information architect or an individual with a comparable and
proven research or user experience background.

About the position: Your primary responsibilities will relate to gathering
and making sense of the information on which our complex web sites and
visualizations are based. Activities will include: interviewing key players
and prospective users, conducting competitive product reviews, documenting
user and stakeholder requirements, defining and describing information and
navigation models, crafting supporting documentation materials such as
functional specifications, and developing appropriate visualizations of
information such as wireframes, diagrams, and prototypes in conjunction with
design staff. You will also act as a project manager, creating project
plans, schedules and budgets, serving as project liaison with clients, and
contributing to writing proposals for prospective projects.

About you:

* Your Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities — You know how to examine a problem
from various angles and develop appropriate information solutions that
successfully balance business goals, user needs, and technology constraints.
You have an in-depth knowledge of information architecture and business
analysis methodologies, but are also a creative thinker, with a desire to
experiment with new ideas and solutions. You have solid written and verbal
communication skills, and know how to work well as part of a close-knit team
of designers, sitebuilders, producers, and software developers. You are
flexible, self-directed, and good at multitasking and time management.

* Your Education and Experience — You may have a degree in human computer
interaction, library and information science, or technical writing, or the
equivalent experience working as a business analyst, information architect,
or interaction designer.

About us: Dynamic Diagrams was founded in 1990 as a design studio devoted
to presenting information on the computer screen. With the rise of the
Internet, the company expanded its scope, helping to define the emergent
discipline of information architecture in the process.
Over the years Dynamic Diagrams has provided successful solutions for
organizations such as the American Medical Association, HP, McGraw-Hill
Professional Publishing Group, SAP, MIT, Volkswagen, Samsung Electronics
Corporation, and the World Health Organization. Our multi-disciplinary team
brings an experienced perspective to the complex and overlapping worlds of
information, design, and technology. Our studio is located in the heart of
Providence, RI, a thriving urban center that offers a rich history,
world-renowned restaurants, and access to the academic communities of the
Rhode Island School of Design and Brown University.

To apply: We are unable to offer relocation and request that only
candidates within commuting distance of Providence, RI apply. We are not
seeking contract workers at this time.

Please submit a resume, cover letter INCLUDING salary requirements, and
relevant work samples to: careers at dynamicdiagrams.com
