That should come as part of every single SIGIA-L post.

If you simply take a month and parse the requests for help posted here,
you'd be astounded by how much a surprisingly high percentage of people just
simply want to *copy* something, anything. Don't worry they'll dress it up
as 'best-practices,' 'standards,' and such crutch. The utter un-specificity
and un-contextual nature of their questions often elicits a "could you
provide more context so we can help" type of response from me and others.
When things get repeated often out of context they become urban legends.
It's my God given duty to nip it in the bud. :-)
