Hi Natasja,

If I understand the question then the concept of "distributed
navigation" must be an example of what you are looking for.

Joshua Porter writes this about distributed navigation:

"The overall effect of "distributed navigation" brought upon by
content aggregators is that we're witnessing the control of content
shift from designers to users. Users are finding new, highly effective
aggregators much to their liking, and in doing so are bypassing much
of what we've built for them."

The use of aggregators like feeddemon, bloglines and many more makes
much of the navigation used on blogs and newssites useless because
people are no longer on the site.

The organisation of the information on the website gets lost and the
visitor is using the structure of the website of the aggregator or the
application. What happens is that an agreggator website and a user
organise the content the way they see fit.
There the content is cut of from the metainformation and the
navigation on the originating website.
