Some of you may know me.  My name is Laura Hunter and I am a recruiter that

currently have in the East, Mid West and West Coast.  These positions range
from mid-level contact IA work to Director of User Experience and are listed

Director of User Experience:
My client is seeking a Director of User Experience.  This position will be
based in Jersey City, NJ.  Strong people management skills are a MUST (must
have directed a team before, preferably of 6-8 people). Additionally,
candidates must have had previous budget, hire/fire and performance review
responsibilities.
The Director of User Experience is responsible for overseeing the creative
and visual design output for my client. Responsibilities include all web
properties.  A critical aspect of the role is as an evangelist for the
discipline of User Experience / Interaction Design. The individual will lead
the interactive design, user interface design, information architecture and
editorial content groups to ensure a world-class user experience and the
following: 
- The proper application of the companies Style Guide and Brand Standards
throughout the various online properties 
- Delivery of all projects in accordance with project timelines and overall
initiative strategy 
- Manage and develop the visual design team by defining the vision,
direction and goals for the group 
- Develop team members by identifying and providing the needed training,
coaching and mentoring 
- Challenge and innovate new methods of creative execution 
- Work closely with business partners to set clear expectations and goals
and ensure that deliverables achieve the desired results 
- Work in close partnership with lines of business and technology to develop
a world class user experience, while executing projects in a quality and
cost effective manner. 
- Evaluate the best methods to communicate online to customers and, in
conjunction with the marketing staff, evaluate results and adjust
methodology as needed 
- Set project timelines and assign tasks to designers and other creative
department personnel 
- Responsible for the hiring, managing, training and developing associates
on their team. 

Required: 
- Minimum 10 years in creative or design fields. 
- Minimum 4 years in the web/interactive space. 
- Experience working in a Creative firm with the ability to design while
maintaining a financial perspective.
- Ability to excel in an environment of competing priorities and multiple
constituents.
- Strong team player.
- Ability to clearly articulate the thinking behind creative solutions and
to communicate successfully with other team members. 
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Minimum education required - Bachelors degree
Desired: 
- Degree in design, ergonomic science or related field.
- Financial Services industry experience
Position is capped at 130,000 per year with excellent bonuses and benefits.

Senior and Mid Level UI Designers for Enterprise Software Developer
My client in Illinois is currently seeking a Senior and Mid level User
Interface Designer. They will be responsible for the "Look and Feel" of
their new software products, will work with product marketing as well as the
Director of Next Generation Product Development designing and developing
features and functionality, will produce detailed UI, functional and
behavioral specifications from product requirement documents. These
specifications detail the look, operation, and expected behavior of the
product functionality and serve as the basis for all downstream development
activities.

In order to be successful in this role, experience with tools like HTML,
Flash, Macro Media, Photoshop is preferred. Experience with experimental and
cognitive design psychology and a BSc Degree or a CS degree with Master's
degree in Human Factors or Psychology is preferred.
Former software product GUI design experience is required.  Having a
combination of web based app. design with enterprise level SW design is
fine.

4 Week contract in NYC for Mid Level I/A:

My client is seeking a mid level IA who can assist 2 senior IA’s and create
wireframes, detail  (element tables) etc for 40 hrs a week for 3-4 weeks.
Someone who is a good solid executer.  I was wondering who you know that
would be interested?  The engagement would start right away and pays $60 per
hour. Contract to start asap.

Senior Consulting Project Manager
Leads, manages, coordinates and reports on large call-center speech
application deployment projects. Assembles and guides project teams,
identifies resources needed, and develops project plan and schedule to
ensure timely completion of projects. Communicates frequently with team
members and client staff regarding project status and identifies and
resolves project problems and issues. Manages customer relationships in
conjunction with the account executives and professional services
management. 

Responsibilities: 
• Prepares proposals, statement of work and develops project plans,
schedules, resources, and milestones, in conjunction Professional Services
managers and client project management. Monitors, tracks, and is held
accountable for projects progress, deliverables, quality assurance, and
customer services. 
• Initiates action to identify and resolve project problems/issues and
reports to Professional Services managers on mitigating steps and actions
taken to ensure timely deliverables, project success and quality. 
• Assigns tasks to team members; develops team behaviors and operating
rules; mentors, guides, and empowers team members in planning and executing
the work and providing customer service in accordance with Services
organization practices and standards 
• Reports regularly to Management on project progress; manages risk, scope,
quality, effort, resources and timeline. 
• Participates in pre- and post-sales activities, proposal development to
existing and new customers. 
• Works with Management to develop consulting and project planning
methodology and tools. 
Education & Experience: 
• 4+ years experience in systems integration consulting or enterprise
software implementation services. 
• 3+ years experience in customer-facing, project management role leading a
team. 
• 3+ years experience with call centers and/or speech application
deployment. 
• BS degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or
other related field. MBA a plus. 
• Strong communication skills (presentation, verbal, and written). 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with an outstanding
customer service attitude. 
• Experience in supporting sales and business development opportunities
through proposal creation, review and presentation. 
• Experience working directly with customers in a consulting or services
role. 
Travel: 
• Ability to travel as needed. 
Salary is capped at 140,000 annually with benefits, bonuses and stock
Dialog Designer (VUI Designer)-Mahwah, N.J. Salary cap $130,000

Depending on the level of experience the individual has with dialog design
and voice user interface design, the VUI designer would be responsible for
all aspects of dialog design to provide successful implementation of and
assist my clients customers with the development of speech recognition
software applications.

Major Responsibilities
-Define speech requirements in a project.
-Understand and apply industry standards in dialog, prompt and persona
design.
-Understand transcription process and perform transcriptions.
-Design grammars.
- Conduct and/or manage usability testing across projects.
-Coach voice talent.
-Perform application development using voice tools.
-Use analysis, tuning, and transcription tools.
-Tune dialogs. 
-Define standards for VUI design, review VUI for all projects.
-Train, qualify and mentor other technical resources in VUI design.
-Lead VUI effort for major projects, end-to-end.
-Manage voice recording process.
-Manage transcription process and transcription resources across projects
-Evaluate voice platforms / voice application tools.
-Manage customer expectations for VUI.
-Manage performance analysis and tuning across projects.

Job Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree or Advanced degree in Linguistics, Cognitive Science,
Psychology, Computational Linguistics, Human Factors / Human Computer
Interface, Computer Science.
-Experienced in script programming and working with the development of
speech recognition software applications.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills.
