We're hiring an Information Architect for an intranet redesign project at a

Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver high-level content organization and navigation, and 
page-level information design
• Analyze business requirements and user data to develop task models and 
user personas
• Perform user and best practices research as required
• Work closely and iteratively with client and Aquilent teams (project 
mangers, designers, copywriters, developers)

Requirements:
• Fluency in the principles of information architecture, usability, and user 
experience design
• Produce deliverables including: personas, site maps, user flows, 
navigation schemes and labeling, wireframes, and user interfaces for new and 
existing websites and applications

• 1-2 years experience in information architecture or user experience design
• Experience with Visio (preferred), FreeHand, Illustrator or OmniGraffle,
• Experience in organizing large websites (5000+ pages)

• A BA/BS degree in Technical Communications, Interaction Design, Library or 
Information Sciences, Information Architecture, Psychology, or related 
discipline
• Familiarity with best practices on the web
• Ability to translate usability test findings into actionable 
recommendations

• Ability to work productively with limited supervision
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment
• Strong time management, communication (verbal and written), and 
interpersonal skills

Valuable but not required:
• Good writing skills
• Experience with content management system
• Experience with designing for Section 508 compliance
• Experience working for public sector organization
• Experience with Microsoft Project
• Involvement with industry standards or professional organizations related 
to web/UI design
