this position is responsible for the presentation of online information and
functionality to support enterprise eBusiness. The position is an
information architect for web business content with a focus on the intranet
along with the public site - metlife.com.  

Principal Responsibilities:

- Design intuitive navigation and information design flows based to meet
business and user needs
- Gather business requirements and analyze business requests to communicate
appropriate messages through the intranet, metlife.com and other websites
utilizing Vignette content management 
- Create user scenarios and use cases
- Analyze content & recommend best approach for integration into the
intranet, metlife.com, and other websites 
- Assist in creation, documentation and communication of corporate user
interface 
- Participate in the creation of Enterprise eBusiness standards and
guidelines for online presence
- Analyze website metrics for path analysis and customer experience
improvements
- Facilitate the ongoing evolution of efficient business processes
- Coordinate projects with Lines of businesses,project teams and 3rd party
vendors
- Organize and manage user research projects
- Assist in project planning

Required Competencies

- Experience in web content publishing and information/web design - a must
- User interface documentation and specification (schematics, wireframes,
navigation systems)
- Human factors/usability planning and implementation
- Rapid experience and task modeling / prototyping
- Business process analysis
- Application and page level information design
- Project planning methodology
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience creating controlled vocabulary, taxonomy, metadata is a plus
