Description - The UI Architect is responsible for user interface
engineering, conceptual design and information architecture of software for
interactive television.  This position requires in-depth knowledge of user
interface design principals along with the ability to work with a talented
development team.

The specific responsibilities of a UI Architect are:
• Apply user-centered design processes and principles to application design 
• Create prototypes including UI behaviors, user interaction models,
workflow, and interaction requirements that conform to specified design and
content requirements 
• Establish, document, maintain and revise functional specifications 
• Act as a recognized and active resource on user interface design issues 
• Work with standards and best practices for interface usability and
responding to user testing findings 
• Review software design 

The necessary skills/experience include: 
• A degree in graphic design, information design, systems design, or a
related area 
• Experience with HTML, DHTML, and the ability to hand code 
• Strong understanding of software development processes and resulting
architectures 
• Proficiency using Visio, PhotoShop, and Dreamweaver 
• Three to five years of user interface design experience 
• Experience creating and iteratively refining a user interface design 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
