[Sigia-l] Translating taxonomies

That ties in nicely with some work Livia, Jorge and I have been doing, 
and I wanted to ask for some feedback on. We've been looking, as part of 
our research into international or global IA, at translating taxonomies.

It turns out there are several interesting problems:

- categories that don't exist in all cultures and therefore don't have a 
translation
- semantic overlap: categories that have a translation but it's not 100% 
the same category
- differences in granularity in taxonomies in different languages.

I posted more details here, and I'd welcome all feedback! This is early 
work.
