I tend to lump that particular problem, and some others like it, into a 
general problem called "subjective hierarchy". Maybe you can use some 
variant of that.

Of course, when someone has a "problem" like this, giving it a name often 
converts it from a problem to a guideline for finding a solution. 
Subjective isn't bad, it's just incompatible with certain systems :)
