The Master of Science Program in Information Architecture and Knowledge Management (IAKM) at Kent State University is pleased to announce the addition of David B. Robins and Michael J. D. Sutton to the faculty for the Fall, 2004.
David Robins joins IAKM with 6 years of experience on Library and Information Science faculties. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of North Texas in 1998. His research interests include information architecture, knowledge management, visual explanations of complex constructs, and user interaction with information systems. His articles have appeared in such publications as the Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology, Information Processing and Management, Information Technology and Libraries, CoLIS2: Second Annual Conference on Conceptions of Library and Information Science, and Libraries, the Internet, and Scholarship: Tools and Trends Converging. He has given presentations at such conferences as The Human-Computer Institute at Carnegie Mellon, the American Society for Information Science and Technology (ASIST) and the Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE). In addition to obtaining grants from the University of Pittsburgh, Louisiana State University and the Louisiana Board of Regents, he has developed a variety of web sites.
