I cannot tell you how exciting it is to see the association between the
processes of IA and ID being discussed here. As an industrial designer
by education, and an IA (interface architect) by profession, it is
exhilarating to see the keynote of the IA Summit(Brenda Laurel
http://www.iasummit.org/speakers.html#brenda) showcasing IA (information
architecture)in the industrial design products of her students and IA
blogs discussing the analogy of ID in physical design to the role of IA
in digital design.
Here's my question, though, are the university industrial design
programs beginning to teach digital IA? (giving away my age.... it's
been a while!)I did a quick look at my alma mater's program, and a few
others, and it seems noticeably absent.
So speak up IDs??? Are you out there?

Ziya, I have not seen the Better by Design, but I will be looking out
for it
on the schedules.
I have seen a couple episodes of iDesign on the Fine Living network
(http://www.fineliving.com/fine/idesign/), which sounds similar to BbD.
These shows are largely industrial design, but have been insightful into
the
design processes that various people and organizations make.
All the best,
Thomas
