[Sigia-l] Long scrolling pages and Usability

I had similar questions back in July while doing some personal
research. A kind IA (Chris Tung) responded to this question with the
following URLs:

--
Effects on reading text passages
http://psychology.wichita.edu/surl/usabilitynews/51/paging_scrolling.htm

Effects on scanning search results
http://psychology.wichita.edu/surl/usabilitynews/41/paging.htm
--

I wish I could summarize for you, but I'm embarrassed to say that I
have not had a chance to review the research.

My question was less about the overall usability and more about which
method produced better recall (I guess that would be a single usability
metric).
