Well in 2079 when Longerhorn ships Microsoft is threatening to change that.
:-) Apple already did do away file/folder hierarchy in Newton. (Just a
little ahead of the acceptance curve!) And iTunes/iPhoto/XCode are
recognition of the same fact. Let's just say there's active stuff going on
Apple in this area and you're likely to the results before 2079.:-)
