True, though specifying the window size and offset position in the first
place is probably a better solution.

Knowing how to close a window is a task that fairly easily passed the "my
mom" test.  However, for her, other newbies, and experienced users who
happen to have arthritis or carpal tunnel, the close link is often an
easier "target" to mouse to than the close button on either Windows or
MacOS UI.
