Information Architect

Position Summary
The Information Architect (IA) is responsible for using the practices of information architecture, content strategy, and interface design to create project solutions. These project solutions will be user-centered in nature, but will also balance the needs of both the client and technical teams. The IA in this environment will also work collaboratively with the entire project team directly. The IA will also:
-	Work with clients to develop business requirements and priorities
-	Offer feedback to designers
-	Ensure that the development process happens effectively. 
-	Ensure that this valued role in our process serves as the foundation for every project we do

Principal Responsibilities
-	Lead and participate in key activities in requirements gathering with team and clients
-	Conduct Competitive Analysis
-	Plan and lead user-centered design activities (i.e. usability evaluations, test plans, user assessments.)
-	Analyze findings from user centered design activities and generate full reports indicating key findings   and recommendations
-	Document and rationalize user, business and technical needs within design and architecture decisions 
-	Work efficiently in a fast paced environment on multiple projects and perform multiple tasks concurrently
-	Contribute to the expansion of the practice 

Qualifications
-	Two or more years of information architecture and/or interface design 
-	Experience producing wire frames, information/site maps, task diagrams, competitive analysis
-	Ability to advocate for the user
-	Exposure to the Usability Testing Process
-	Experience interacting directly with clients and building solid client relationships
-	Willingness to implement all facets of the information architecture process
-	Logic-based way of thinking
-	Strong written and oral communication skills 
-	Microsoft Office, Visio, Adobe Acrobat and Macromedia Freehand skills
-	Must enjoy what you do and be willing to bring the heat everyday
