The web has both many very usable sites, and many very unusable sites.

The fact that the many usable sites don't all adhere to providing the "same"
user experiences shows that different user experiences, in and of itself,
are not the source of confusion. The fact that sites with poor usability
exist shows that the web can in fact be confusing, whether they provide the
same experience or not. How are good usability sites different from poor
usability sites then? By definition.

Ergo: 
    The Web proves that different designs aren't
    necessarily confusing ­ bad designs are confusing.
