Visual Design / IA Position
General Description: 
Contract position at financial services company in New York City
requires work with various business and technical groups to develop
designs and information architecture for various web sites and
applications.  

Summary of Job Tasks:
. Work with other Visual Designers on creating and documenting new
designs for intranet and retail internet sites.
. Create page designs and graphics for several web development teams.  
. Create and manage library of all images, photos, and designs that will
be used by several web development teams.
. Lead requirements gathering process by planning and conducting end
user interviews, competitive analysis, group meetings, etc.  
. Develop site maps based on visual designs and end user requirements
. Development of wireframes and functional specifications
. Assist development team in understanding design, requirements and
specifications.
. Development and execution of QA testing
 
Skills Required:
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
. Proficient in Dreamweaver, Illustrator, PhotoShop, Word, Excel,
Project, PowerPoint and Visio
. Proficient in Windows XP and Mac OSX Operating Systems
. Must be able to work independently
. Strong understanding of HTML, DHTML, and JavaScript
. Experience with Content Management Systems
. Must be able to handle several functions at any given time
. 3 + years of IA or Visual Design experience
