We have a full-time-opening for a Senior Information Architect/Usability

Senior Information Architect/Usability Specialist

Responsibilities:

·       Design and deliver high-level content organization and navigation, 
interface metaphors/approaches, page layout and content schematics, with a 
focus on web-based applications

·       Analyze business requirements, user groups and user tasks to develop 
task models and user personas
·       Perform competitive analysis as required
·       Work closely and iteratively with the client and Aquilent teams 
(project mangers, designers, copywriters, developers)
·       Conduct heuristic reviews of existing web sites and applications
·       Plan and participate in usability tests of web sites and 
applications
·       Contribute ideas for improving processes and deliverables

Requirements:

·       Fluency in the principles of information architecture, usability, 
and web-based user experience design
·       Produce deliverables including user goals and personas, site maps, 
user flows, navigation schemes and labeling, wireframes, and user interfaces 
for new and existing websites

·       A minimum of 3 years experience in information 
architecture/usability
·       Experience in designing at least two web-based applications
·       Experience with Visio (preferred), OmniGraffle, FreeHand or 
Illustrator
·       A BA/BS degree
·       Experience in organizing large websites (1000+ pages)
·       Familiarity with best practices on the Web
·       Ability to translate usability test data into actionable 
recommendations
·       Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
·       Ability to communicate with and manage client executives
·       Strong time management, communicative, and interpersonal skills

Nice to have but not required:

·       Experience with content management system
·       Experience with sites that offer personalization and/or 
customization
·       Experience managing usability tests
·       Experience with designing for Section 508 compliance
·       Familiarity with HTML, CSS, cross-browser compatibility issues
·       Experience with Microsoft Project
·       Involvement with industry standards or professional organizations 
related to web/UI design
