Information Architect (Usability Expert & Graphic Designer)
Overall Role:
We're looking for an expert in usability who can take complicated business
problems and design highly usable web interface solutions. This position
requires experience in both interactive and visual interface design for
business-to-customer websites and web-based applications. We are looking for
a team player, who thrives on innovation and creativity.
Responsibilities:
a.. Research and prioritize user and functional requirements.
b.. Analyze, design, and develop Interaction Architectures and task flows.
c.. Develop conceptual models, process flows, and navigational maps.
d.. Gather information on user needs and goals from user research and
meetings with internal and external users.
e.. Construct wire frames, mockups and rapid prototypes of UI designs,
capturing the flow, page layout and navigation. Create Graphic designs to
make the page look pretty.
f.. Work directly with content, engineering, and other teams to deliver
innovative, user-centered designs.
g.. Conduct and analyze results of usability tests and User surveys.
Qualifications:
a.. 4+ years experience in usability research and designing user-centered
websites with an emphasis on functional design and content-integration.
b.. Skilled at designing, validating and amending the information
architecture and screen design.
c.. Excellent UI and graphic design skills.
d.. Proficient in HTML coding. Knowledge of JavaScript, DHTML is a plus.
e.. Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and other standard
design software.
f.. User-centered design approach.
g.. Previous Information Architect/ Usability/Graphic Design experience.
h.. Bachelors Degree in Arts, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic design,
or equivalent experience.
i.. Experience working on e-commerce sites a plus, especially with a
marketplace of buyers and sellers.
j.. Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.

a.. Self-Initiative is a must. Passion for the CafePress business model

c.. Ability to prioritize and multi-task within tight timelines.
