Reading all the good advice (and warnings) for Leonard in obtaining an IA
job, made me reflect on my own slow progression from an embedded software
engineer to an information architect.  I still have a ways to go.  Even
though I am making some progress (I am now creating an interactive
Windows application for cockpit screen design and  I have completed my
MLIS), I often feel the need for personal advice and mentoring.  General
advice is good.  With my tendency towards inertia in my career, my own
needs, and a less than lively location for IA's (central Connecticut), a
personal guide would be more helpful.  A mentoring program for IA's would
be awfully helpful for people like Leonard and me.  Are there any mentors
out there?
