[Sigia-l] stopping blog spam???

Hey there,
I was wondering what people do, short of turning off commenting, to
prevent or make it more difficult for bots and whatnot to spam your
blog?

The only setting I found on my software was something to prevent
repeated postings within a specific timeframe. I'm hoping this will
reduce the mess to 1. I get alerted as soon as any comment is posted,
but is there a way to stop it completely?
