I'm involved with the Los Angeles SIGCHI group which is led by Bernard
Chen. We try and meet up every couple months to network and to discuss
relevant IA/UE/CHI topics. The website:

I work and live in Claremont, CA, about 30 miles east of downtown LA.

I am pretty new to this list, and I am not currently an ASIST member.  I
have an MILS from University of Michigan, worked for 5 years as a
university
archivist, and have been managing the web presence (and other things)
for
Claremont McKenna College for nearly 5 years now.  I looked at the LA
chapter (LACASIS) web site, and it seems like I should consider
involvement
with that group.
