PIM=Personal Information Manager

Some examples:

1. EccoPro (available as a free download)
2. Leo, which is scriptable using the Python programming language
3. Keynote (freeware, IIRC)
4. Lotus Organizer (probably no longer available)
5. MS Outlook

There are many more of them. I was charmed by the first that I saw, about twenty years ago--
treepad? All that I can think of use either trees or relational tables as metaphors.
