My favorite example of the "unimplemented design" is the concept car.
Sometimes we have to do designs that we KNOW are not implementable so
that we can push technology to move forward to meet and greet us in
the middle.

My "concept car" designs are the ones that spark interest and get my
company to even think about using technologies they would have avoided
in the past just to get 1/4 of what was offered in the concept.
