Human Factors Engineer/Interaction Designer
Elsevier, Health Sciences Division

Description:
This position exists to support the user interface design of various
web-based products within the Health Sciences Division of Elsevier.

Duties:
- Work to understand customer needs, their tasks and environment.
- Design, create and rapidly iterate upon prototypes.
- Evaluate prototypes and products via usability testing.
- Work with a variety of people including product managers, engineers,
visual designers, and end users.

Qualifications:
1. Masters degree preferred
2. Experience in human factors engineering or related field
3. Experience in designing websites
4. Experience with analysis techniques, prototyping tools used in interface
design and customer usability testing
5. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Web skills (HTML, Javascript, ASP, etc.) highly desired. Usability
experience with PDAs a plus. Should have a passion for usability and wanting
to build products from the user's point of view. Experience in health care
publishing or working with health care professionals a plus. Should be
willing to travel periodically.
