jack-of-all-trades to be an internal consultant to the many product teams 
that build sites under the Terra and Lycos umbrellas (including 
Matchmaker, Quote.com, Gamesville, Wired News, Tripod, etc.).

Senior Information Architect
The Senior Information Architect works closely with a variety of teams on 
the conceptual design of online products, including everything from 
feature definition to detailed page wireframes. This person leads the 
discipline of information architecture, rolling out standards and training 
to improve the user experience of Terra Lycos sites.

Responsibilities
- Consult with teams to define targeted users through tools such as user 
personas
- Facilitate the prioritization of features and content, balancing 
business objectives and technical constraints
- Define overall site architectures and interaction flows for complex web 
applications
- Create page wireframes detailing page content and behavior
- Consult with teams on navigation, taxonomies, and search interfaces
- Document information architecture standards and best practices in the 
global Style Guide
- Collaborate with Usability Specialist on usability tests
- Lead initiatives to improve the user experience of the Lycos Network in 
areas such as registration and broadband
- Project manage cross-functional teams on user experience projects
- Mentor designers and product teams in the methodologies of User-Centered 
Design


Requirements
- 5+ years experience in information architecture or interaction design 
with large, complex consumer sites
- Experience with community sites and search interfaces a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Degree in human factors, library science, or technical communications 
preferred
