Since its inception, I've been a member of the special interest group in
IA (the official SIG under ASIS&T as opposed to the SIGIA discussion
list). The group has sponsored this discussion list, put together the IA
Summits, and started a now outdated web site
(http://www.asis.org/SIG/SIGIA/index.html). (Please list other activities
I may have overlooked. SIGIA may have contributed to the JASIST special
issue on IA also) At the same time, other IA groups are championing and
working the IA cause, most notably AIFIA. Have the leaders of the SIGIA
group (there are a number of them listed at
http://www.asis.org/AboutASIS/asis-sigs.html#SIGIA) defined a role for
the SIG in relationship to other groups? Will there be continued growth
of the SIG or has the growth been given to other organizations?
