Since images instead of digital text is used and you only get to see a few

No, it's like the 30sec previews in iTunes Music Store. The point is to sell
the book/song.

Having said that it took me about five minutes to sketch out the workflow
for an app that can automate the process of requesting book pages and using
OCR to digitize the shown pages to generate digital text. Coding the whole
thing would take not more than a few days. All you have to do is to figure
out a way to come up with keywords to call sequential pages to make up the
whole book.:-)
