[Sigia-l] Career moves

I have often seen posts with newcomers seeking advices on what they should
do to get in the career with IA, ID, UE etc. However, I don't remember if
we talked about what do we do to kick your career higher if you happen to
have some good experinece. I am sure this mailing list brings people from
Management, Middle Management and those top-notch consultants. So my
question is targetted to all of you -

-- How can IA/Designers shape their career for the bigger move???
-- Can going to the college for heigher education help? What value
addition can you bring in the career??
-- Can a higher education, such as MBA, etc. helps in impacting the
Managemnt roles?
-- What are the career paths moving upwards for IA/Designers who loves
there everyday work?

Let's assume, the center stage of this question is a person with 5 - 10
years experience with IA, ID, UE, Usability, UI programming etc. full or
in part.
