What about incorporating a dialog into the Javascript routine that
changes the style sheet to give the user the choice? Something along
the lines of:
"To conserve paper and improve your printed copy, we temporarily hide
the [insert removed items here] for printing. If you would like to keep
these items in your printed copy, click cancel, otherwise click OK."
Then switch or don't switch the CSS and trigger the print function.
It's probably worthwhile to make note of that choice via a cookie or
other mechanism for that user to prevent asking them multiple times.
Cheers,
Brian
