I think it's fair to say the term 'Information Architecture' is very
magnetic and appeals to a wide variety of people in numerous
disciplines.

There is no greater prove of this fact then the disagreements and
inability to come to a conclusion as to what exactly 'Information
Architecture' means or entails as a practice. The term is still wildly
popular despite no one really knowing what it is within the
communal/shared sense.

To lay claim to creating or 'founding' Information Architecture and all
this wild excitement then would be both inaccurate and contain
suspicious motivations since clearly it is *the term* Information
Architecture which holds currency, not some established meaning or
tradition.

Who came up with term Information Architecture? That's how it happened.
