Now this is one I'd like to see "infovizzed". Imagine a real-time
infoviz thingy showing package delivery rates, total number of packages,
undeliverables, not-at-homes, packages in transit, tons of packages in
the air, etc., all the data points FedEx collects.  I'd like a globe
with the daylight/night boundary visible which I could rotate and zoom
so I could get a look at all these different data.  Imagine choosing
"total packages in system" by country and seeing the US jump out of the
globe, or seeing a time-lapse of pre-Tom Hanks and post-Tom Hanks rate
of delivery numbers for Russia ;-)

Looking over Karl's list made me wonder if that crystal table thing in
"Land of the Lost" was an infoviz application.
