The New York City Chapter of Web Producers Organization (WPO) hosts monthly
face-to-face gatherings to allow members to meet and chat about jobs, the
industry, professional standards, share advice, and have a little fun with
colleagues. We hope you will join us Tuesday June 3.

Web producers Organization (WPO) is a professional organization for
producers and project managers of interactive and web-based projects
including public web sites, intranets, and web-based applications.  We aim
to connect members to each other online and offline to create a collective
voice for the practice of web project management, and foster a community
where members share ideas, stories, and resources for career development and
to improve the practice of web project management.

Our members represent a variety of organizations and companies and various
roles (not just web producers)

- web/software/digital media agencies
-  internal departments of large and small companies, educational
institutions, NGO's, and government agencies
- webmaster role
- team leader role (other roles such as programmer, IA, or designer but
responsible for managing project as well)
- freelancers or those working as independent contractors
